Career Services events that help you prepare for life after college!

Networking Event- Thursday, January 19th from 12:30-1:45pm @ Lenawee Country Club

Networking plays an important role in obtaining internships and job offers, but many students never have the opportunity to learn how to network. This event is free and open to all students, and provides an excellent opportunity to learn how to make proper introductions, make appropriate conversation, create and deliver a 30 second pitch. Local professionals will be in attendance to help students practice and become more confident in their networking skills. Students, please sign-up in the HUB, SCI 234, or SH 107.

When: Thursday, January 19, 2017

Where: Lenawee Country Club (4110 Country Club Rd, Adrian, MI 49221)

Time: 12:30-1:45pm

- Learn how to mix and mingle

- Learn why networking is so important for your career

- Write and practice your 30 second story

- Meet with employers

Internship Fair- Friday, February 10th, time 11am-1pm @ Lourdes University

If you are looking for an internship to build your resume or experience in your field, this is the perfect fair for you! Employers who are actively seeking interns will be ready to discuss their opportunities and talk about next steps.

When: Friday, February 10, 2017

Where: Lourdes University (6832 Convent Blvd, Sylvania, OH 43560)

Time: 11am-1pm

Job & Interview Fair, Friday, February 17th from 9am-4pm in Lansing, MI

This is not a typical job fair. Students attending will need to bring resumes and mingle with employers who are currently hiring for full-time and internship positions. At the end of the open job fair portion, employers will have the opportunity to schedule onsite interviews with students they wish to see and hear more from. This is a great opportunity for students to get in front of employers, and hopefully get multiple interviews in one day! The fair is sponsored by Job Pursuit, which is a collaboration between small to mid-size colleges and universities across the State of Michigan.

When: Friday, February 17, 2017

Where: Crowne Plaza Lansing West (925 S Creyts Rd, Lansing, MI 48917)

Time: 9am-4pm (this is an all-day event and students must commit to the whole time frame)

*Transportation is available to and from each event.

*Stop by Science 234, Sacred Heart 107, or email Sara at to learn more about these events or to sign-up!
