About Career Services

 

The primary mission of Career Services at Siena Heights University is to provide students and alumni assistance with identifying a career, developing a professional plan, evaluating and implementing career choices and creating a professional image. Career Services staff will assist students with engaging in self-assessment; obtaining occupational information; exploring employment, graduate and professional school opportunities; and professional preparation including presenting themselves effectively as candidates. Career Services is committed to providing personal attention to students needing assistance in all aspects of their career path.

Career Services events that help you prepare for life after college!

Healthcare Career Fair, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 2-4pm at Lourdes University

This fair is designed to get students from nursing, social work, and psychology in front of top employers in the healthcare industry. Employers registered to attend include: University of Michigan, Family Service of Nwest Ohio, St. Joseph Mercy Health System, The Toledo Clinic, ProMedica, Blacnchard Valley Health System, Hospice of Nwest Ohio, Kingston Healthcare, Elizabeth Scott Community, Wood County Hospital, Ursuline Center, Home Care Care by Blackstone, and Harbor Behavioral Health. 

When: Wednesday, March 15, 2017

Where: Franciscan Center Gym at Lourdes University (6832 Convent Blvd, Sylvania, OH 43560)

Time: 2pm-4pm (open fair format stop in anytime between the hours posted)

Bring copies of your resume and dress professionally.

  

Corporate Conversations, Friday, March 31, 2017 from 11am-1pm at Davis College

Students attending this event will get a chance to hear from hiring professionals in varies industries. These "conversations" are to aid students in discovering what employers look for on a resume, learning how to get a job in a specific field, finding out where jobs are posted, and more! This is an outstanding event for all students to attend!   

When: Friday, March 31, 2017

Where: Davis College (more info coming soon!)

Time: 11am-1pm (need to attend from start to finish)

Bring copies of your resume and dress professionally.

*Transportation to and from is available. The Siena Heights van will be departing from the circle drive in front of Sacred Heart at 10:15am and will return at 2pm.

 

Job Fair, Friday, April 7, 2017 from 10:30am-1:30pm at Monroe Community College

Students actively seeking employment are encouraged to attend Southeast Michigan's Job Fair at Monroe Community College. Employers seek to fill position in a variety of industries will be in attendance.  

When: Friday, April 7, 2017

Where: Monroe Community College (more info coming soon!)

Time: 10:30am-1:30pm (open fair format stop in anytime between the hours posted)

Bring copies of your resume and dress professionally.

*Transportation to and from is available. The Siena Heights van will be departing from the circle drive in front of Sacred Heart at 11:00am and will return at 2:15pm.
