About Career Services


The primary mission of Career Services at Siena Heights University is to provide students and alumni assistance with identifying a career, developing a professional plan, evaluating and implementing career choices and creating a professional image. Career Services staff will assist students with engaging in self-assessment; obtaining occupational information; exploring employment, graduate and professional school opportunities; and professional preparation including presenting themselves effectively as candidates. Career Services is committed to providing personal attention to students needing assistance in all aspects of their career path.

Career Services events that help you prepare for life after college!


Corporate Conversations, Friday, March 31, 2017 from 10am-12:30pm at Davis College

Students attending this event will have a chance to hear from directly from hiring professionals in varies industries. These "conversations" are to aid students in discovering what employers look for on a resume, how to get a job in a specific field, where jobs are posted, what to expect on your first day, and more! Employers attending include: Sauder Woodworking • Keller Logistics • U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration • Home City Ice • First Solar • Buckeye Cable • Josina Lott Residential and Community Services. This is an outstanding event for all students to attend!   

When: Friday, March 31, 2017

Where: Davis College (4747 Monroe St. Toledo, OH 43626)

Time: 10am-12:30pm (need to attend from start to finish)

Job Fair, Friday, April 7, 2017 from 10:30am-1:30pm at Monroe Community College

Students actively seeking employment are encouraged to attend Southeast Michigan's Job Fair at Monroe Community College. Employers seek to fill position in a variety of industries will be in attendance.  

When: Friday, April 7, 2017

Where: Monroe Community College- Health and Education Building (1555 S. Raisinville Rd., Monroe, Mich. 48161)

Time: 10:30am-1:30pm (open fair format stop in anytime between the hours posted)

Bring copies of your resume and dress professionally.

Annual Etiquette Dinner, Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 5:30pm-8:00pm at Hathaway House

The annual etiquette dinner provides students with an opportunity to learn the secrets of professional dinning etiquette in a business setting. Students will be enjoying a night of mingling, hors d'oeuvres, and a 4 course fine dining experience! 

When: Wednesday, April 19, 2017 (HALO FEST!)

Where: Hathaway House (424 W Adrian St, Blissfield, MI 49228)

Time: 5:30pm-8:00pm (hors d'oeuvres start at 5:30pm and dinner will begin at 6pm)

Cost: $10 (The cost of the meal is $25, students need only to pay $10 and the Office of Career Services will pay the remainder. If cost is a prohibiting your attendance please contact Melissa Growden, Barry Reinink, or Sara Chrenko to discuss further.)

It is recommended that you come dressed professionally.
